Coastal to Deep-Marine Geomorphic Classification Framework and Glossary

A standardized framework developed by the International Seabed Geomorphology Mapping Working Group (ISGM) using an Ocean Best Practice process. The classification includes a glossary of over 400 terms across 11 overlapping classes and a system for mapping 40 bathymetric shapes. It is published in Earth-Science Reviews, Volume 276, 2026.
