Description
CognitionMRI is a BIDS-compliant dataset containing 7 Tesla functional MRI data from 18 healthy volunteers performing a continuous multi-task paradigm. The data were originally published in the landmark paper 'Tracking ongoing cognition in individuals using brief, whole-brain functional connectivity patterns' (Gonzalez-Castillo et al., PNAS, 2015). It was uploaded to Hugging Face by the user xenificity.
Use Cases
Decoding cognitive states based on whole-brain functional connectivity patterns.
Modeling time-series brain activity during continuous multi-task performance.
Developing BIDS-compliant data processing pipelines for high-resolution fMRI.
Benchmarking algorithms for tracking ongoing cognition from neuroimaging data.
Strengths
Data is BIDS-compliant, which suggests a standardized and interoperable structure.
Uses high-resolution 7 Tesla functional MRI technology.
Based on a landmark study published in PNAS (Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences).
Focuses on a continuous multi-task paradigm for tracking cognition.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count, file formats, and dataset size are unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Data may reflect bias inherent to the original study's participant pool of 18 healthy volunteers.
