June 29th, 1998 saw a mesoscale convective system evolve from a supercell thunderstorm into a damaging bow echo across Iowa. The event produced straight-line winds, hail, tornadoes, microbursts, and flooding before merging with a squall line. The case study was compiled by SCIOPS and published by UCAR/JOSS/NOAA/CODIAC.
