An umbrella review of meta-analyses assessing the clinical effectiveness of ten common elective orthopaedic procedures compared to non-operative care. The study, sourced from Medline, Embase, and the Cochrane Library up to September 2020, found high-quality trial evidence supports only two of the ten procedures. It was conducted to determine the quality of evidence and its alignment with national clinical guidelines.
