Data from remote video monitoring experiments conducted in two eastern Tasmanian marine reserves: Maria Island Marine Reserve and Crayfish Point Research Reserve. The dataset compares survival of the sea urchin Centrostephanus rodgersii on reefs inside no-take Marine Protected Areas versus fished reefs to examine the impact of fishing on predators. The work also examines size-specific predation interactions in the context of size-selective fishing pressures.
