Dekadal rainfall indicators for the Republic of the Congo are aggregated by subnational administrative units using CHIRPS satellite imagery and CHIRPS-GEFS forecasts. Produced by the World Food Programme (WFP), the data tracks 10-day, 1-month, and 3-month rainfall totals alongside long-term averages and anomalies. The records are updated up to six times per month to transition from initial forecasts to final validated observations.
Users must account for the update cycle where forecasts are replaced by preliminary and then final observations; the 'type' column is essential for filtering records to avoid mixing predictive and historical data.
