An 850-meter deep glacial trough off George V Land contains a sediment drift deposit over 30 meters thick. Radiocarbon dating indicates a period of rapid deposition occurred between approximately 3,000 and 5,000 years ago. The data is provided by the Australian Ocean Data Network and was last updated in April 2026.
