A 30-meter-thick sediment drift deposit was discovered in an 850-meter-deep glacial trough off George Vth Land, East Antarctica. Radiocarbon dating indicates a period of rapid deposition occurred between approximately 3,000 and 5,000 years before present. The data was contributed by the Australian Ocean Data Network.
