The George V Basin in East Antarctica contains a record of late Quaternary ice sheet and ice shelf extent. The dataset reconstructs this history through analyses of Chirp sub-bottom profiles, multi-channel seismic data, and sediment cores, distinguishing four glacial facies and two sediment drift facies. Radiocarbon ages from sediment cores link the glacial advance producing one facies to the Last Glacial Maximum.
