Late Quaternary geological data reconstructs the advance and retreat of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet in the George V Basin. The dataset, published by Geoscience Australia, integrates Chirp sub-bottom profiles, multi-channel seismic data, and sediment cores to distinguish four glacial facies and two sediment drift facies. Radiocarbon ages from sediment cores link the glacial advance producing Facies MD2 to the Last Glacial Maximum.
