Description
The Chicago Department of Public Health collected daily hospital capacity metrics from 28 Chicago-area hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic. This dataset includes counts of ICU beds, acute non-ICU beds, and ventilators, broken down by capacity, availability, and usage for COVID-19 patients, suspected cases, and non-COVID-19 cases. Reporting was mandatory until May 9, 2023, and the dataset is now historical, with data representing hospital status at 11:59 pm each day.
