A dataset from federally chartered occupational credit unions in 1996 used to investigate the effects of common bonds on credit union operations. The data was analyzed by William R. Emmons of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The research suggests credit unions with multiple common bonds have higher participation rates than those with a single bond.
