4087 km of deep-seismic data were proposed for acquisition in the central Great Australian Bight. The survey, proposed by Geoscience Australia, aimed to support petroleum exploration, an Ocean Drilling Program proposal, and Australia's continental shelf claim under UNCLOS. The data was intended to define deep crustal structure and the continent-ocean boundary.
Data files are listed as PDF and HTML formats, suggesting the record may contain proposal documents rather than raw seismic data files.
