Description
Results from a 2026 study comparing the infection of monocyte-derived macrophages and dendritic cells from goats, sheep, and cattle with two strains of peste des petits ruminants virus. The data includes flow cytometry percentages, virus titers (TCID50/mL), and RT-qPCR Cq values from a minimum of three animals per species and condition. The dataset was analyzed using generalized linear mixed models.
Use Cases
Compare viral replication kinetics based on infection time points (24h, 48h, 72h, 96h) mentioned in the description.
Analyze differences in infection percentages between cell types (MoMs vs. MoDCs) and animal species (goats, sheep, cattle).
Model the relationship between viral strain virulence (MA08 vs. IC89) and measured outcomes (TCID50/mL, Cq values).
Assess the immune response in different hosts using the flow cytometry data for infected cell percentages.
Strengths
Data includes results from a minimum of three biological replicates per species and condition.
Three distinct measurement types are integrated: flow cytometry percentages, virus titers, and RT-qPCR Cq values.
Compares two PPRV strains with documented virulence differences (MA08 high virulence, IC89 low virulence).
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
