High quality digital images are captured using a digital SLR camera at a core 1 hectare vegetation plot in the Daintree Rainforest. The panoramic photopoint method uses three points in an equilateral triangle to take up to 40 photographs per point in a 360° panorama. The site, monitored since 2001, contains more than 80 species including canopy trees from families such as Arecaceae and Euphorbiaceae.
