A 2011-2017 compilation of survey data provides a spatially continuous 10-meter resolution grid predicting seabed mud content for the Darwin and Bynoe Harbour region. The dataset was created by Geoscience Australia, the Australian Institute of Marine Science, and the Northern Territory Government's Department of Environment and Natural Resources, funded by an INPEX-led LNG project. Predictions are based on 395 samples and nine environmental variables, with a reported predictive accuracy improvement of 198.3% over a common interpolation method.
Data is presented in raster grid and ASCII text file formats (HTML, ZIP); specific software for geospatial analysis may be required.
