395 seabed samples and nine environmental variables underpin a spatially continuous prediction grid for mud content in Darwin and Bynoe Harbours. The dataset, compiled from surveys between 2011 and 2017, supersedes previous predictions with a demonstrated 198.3% increase in predictive accuracy for mud compared to the Inverse Distance Weighting method. Data are provided by Geoscience Australia, the Australian Institute of Marine Science, and the Northern Territory Government's Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Data is presented in raster grid and ASCII text file formats; specific GIS software may be required for use.
