Description
Strategic noise maps for road infrastructure managed by the municipality of Beaune, produced under the European Union's Environmental Noise Directive. The data batch contains all datasets for type A, B, and C maps, established according to the COVADIS data standard version 1.1. The maps for the third deadline were approved by the Prefect of Côte-d’Or on 30 October 2018.
Use Cases
Assess population exposure to environmental noise based on the strategic noise mapping methodology.
Inform public policy and future noise reduction actions based on the diagnostic elements provided by the maps.
Model noise propagation from major road infrastructure using the macroscopic approach defined by the European Commission.
Strengths
Data is structured according to the standardized COVADIS data standard version 1.1 of 29 May 2017.
Maps are produced for infrastructure with high traffic volume (more than 8,200 vehicles per day).
