A collection of mathematical modeling results from a study investigating aerodynamic and structural controls on yardang development. The research proposes that yardang aspect ratios are primarily controlled by the lateral expansion of wind and sediments, predicting ratios in the 5 to 10 range. The model combines physics of boundary layer flow, abrasion, and water-driven erosion to understand morphology.
