Description
Supplying submillimetric T1- and T2-weighted MRI scans and manual hippocampal subfield labels for 25 healthy subjects. Developed by Jessie Kulaga-Yoskovitz and released in 2020, the collection includes stereotaxic probabilistic anatomical maps and detailed sequence information. The data focuses on three specific subregions: the subicular complex, CA1-3, and CA4-DG.
Use Cases
Training segmentation algorithms for the subicular complex and CA1-3 subfields
Validating automated hippocampal segmentation tools against manual labels
Analyzing mesiotemporal anatomy using the provided stereotaxic probabilistic maps
Strengths
Submillimetric resolution MRI scans
High inter-rater reliability with Dice indices ≥87%
Includes both T1- and T2-weighted contrasts for 25 subjects
Limitations
Small sample size of 25 subjects
Limited to healthy individuals, excluding pathological variations
Manual segmentation is restricted to three broad subregions rather than finer subfields
