Health Literacy Competencies Survey of 736 Chinese-Speaking Health Professionals

736 nurses, nurse practitioners, and other health professionals completed a 92-item health literacy competencies instrument online from May 2012 to January 2013. The final validated instrument contains 49 items across 9 knowledge and skill dimensions, explaining 72% of total variance. The data supports psychometric validation of the first rigorously tested tool for health literacy competencies in Chinese-speaking professionals.
