Description
A 980.0 MB dataset from 2026 containing high-resolution UAV orthophotos and Sentinel-2 satellite imagery covering oil palm plantation and residential areas in South Sulawesi and Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. It includes polygon shapefiles for land cultivation rights (HGU) boundaries from selected concessions in South Sulawesi, Central Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan. The dataset was created by Tri Wibisono to support research on GeoAI reliability, reproducibility, and spatial accuracy in land administration.
Use Cases
Benchmarking land-cover segmentation models based on high-resolution UAV and Sentinel-2 imagery.
Evaluating spatial consistency of GeoAI models using cultivation rights (HGU) boundary polygons.
Assessing land-use compliance and regulatory adherence within plantation concessions.
Supporting studies on temporal consistency and reproducibility in geospatial artificial intelligence for land governance.
Strengths
Includes multiple complementary data types: UAV orthophotos, Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, and polygon boundary shapefiles.
Covers specific, named geographic regions in Indonesia (South Sulawesi, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan).
Data is associated with a specific research study on a standardized GeoAI evaluation framework.
Released under a permissive CC-BY-4.0 license.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment for certain modeling tasks.
The dataset is 980.0 MB; users should ensure they have sufficient storage and bandwidth.
Provenance
Source
Tri Wibisono, via figshare.
Collection Method
Acquired via UAV platforms and Sentinel-2 satellite products; compilation method for boundary data is not specified.
Freshness
Last updated 2026-06-02 15:58:33; freshness should be verified.
Geography
Oil palm plantation and residential areas in South Sulawesi and Central Kalimantan, Indonesia; plantation concessions in South Sulawesi, Central Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan.
Data is packaged in a ZIP file; users will need GIS or remote sensing software to work with the geospatial formats.
