A 2026 study models the current and future distributions of ten Mesoamerican hylid frog species under climate change scenarios. The dataset, created by Hibraim Adán Pérez-Mendoza and shared on figshare, integrates correlative models, microclimatic simulations, and physiological limits to compare adult-only and tadpole-based habitat suitability predictions. Results project substantial range contractions, with tadpole models predicting suitable areas averaging only about 4% of adult ranges.
