Two prospective cohorts with 8,353 participants were analyzed for associations between frailty transitions and dementia risk. The study assessed frailty status using a Frailty Index (FI) categorized as robust, pre-frail, or frail, and measured dementia via self-reported physician diagnosis. Cox proportional hazards models calculated hazard ratios for dementia risk based on transitions between these frailty states.
