Description
A study of 21 days post-infection in C57BL/6J mice fed high-fat or low-fat diets and infected with high or low doses of H1N1 influenza A virus. The dataset, authored by Saurav Pantha and last updated in April 2026, includes measurements of survival, lung virus titers, histopathology, cellular infiltration, and cytokine induction. It was published on figshare under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
Use Cases
Modeling survival outcomes based on biological sex and obesity status mentioned in the description
Analyzing correlations between inflammatory markers and disease severity described in the results
Comparing lung pathology and immune cell infiltration across different infection doses and diet groups
Investigating temporal dynamics of cytokine induction over a 21-day infection period
Strengths
Data includes a 21-day longitudinal follow-up for morbidity
Experimental design compares four key variables: sex, obesity status, and two infection doses
