169,630 propensity-score-matched patient cohorts from the TriNetX US Collaborative Network were followed for up to 4 years to assess skin disease risks. The study emulated a randomized trial to compare glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP-4is) for patients with type 2 diabetes. Author Yi-Lun Chiang published the results under a CC-BY-4.0 license in April 2026.
