245 Chinese male STEM college students were randomly assigned to control and treatment groups for a 21-day empathy training intervention. Meizhen Zhang collected quantitative measures of empathy, life satisfaction, prosocial behavior, and interpersonal relationships at four time points and conducted qualitative group interviews with 23 participants. The dataset, last updated in 2026, supports analysis of the training's effectiveness on social-emotional development.
