SV40T-IBLC Immortalized Bovine Luteal Cell Line Characterization

A 103.1 KB document describes the establishment and characterization of an immortalized bovine luteal cell line. Guoqing Fei created the SV40T-IBLC line via lentiviral transduction of the SV40 T antigen gene. The cell line retains core functional characteristics of primary bovine luteal cells, including hormone secretion and stable karyotype.

Strengths

• The cell line secreted progesterone at 1.89 ± 0.14 ng/mL at 60 hours, matching primary cell levels
• Cells maintained a normal diploid karyotype (29 pairs of autosomes and 1 pair of XX sex chromosomes) after 50 passages
• Co-culture with the cell line increased bovine endometrial epithelial cell viability by 34.2% after 72 hours
