758 China-based researchers in natural sciences, engineering, agriculture, and medicine were surveyed in February 2020. Lechen Li authored this study, which applies the Theory of Planned Behavior to predict scientists' engagement in public communication during the early COVID-19 outbreak. Past COVID-19 communication behavior was the strongest predictor of future intention.
