Description
Haochen Xu published survey data from 443 valid questionnaires on rural tourism in 2026. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) to examine relationships among rural tourscape dimensions, flow experience, memory, and revisit intention. The study develops a five-dimensional rural tourscape model including natural environment, ambient atmosphere, hospitality culture, farming activities, and agricultural products.
Use Cases
Modeling tourist revisit intention based on rural tourscape dimensions described in the study.
Analyzing configurational pathways to high revisit intention using fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA).
Studying the mediating role of flow experience and memory between tourscape and intention.
Testing Cognitive Appraisal Theory (CAT) in the context of rural tourism and destination sustainability.
Strengths
Dataset includes 443 valid questionnaire responses.
Analysis employs both SEM for net effects and fsQCA for configurational pathways.
Dataset is licensed under CC-BY-4.0 for open reuse.
Limitations
