Description
18,555 tumor samples from 148 different tumor types were analyzed for GPX2 expression via immunohistochemistry on tissue microarrays. The dataset, authored by Viktoria Chirico and last updated in May 2026, shows GPX2 positivity was most frequent in colorectal, urothelial, and pancreatico-biliary cancers, and links reduced expression to features of aggressive disease.
Use Cases
Identifying tumor types with high GPX2 expression based on the 148 categories analyzed.
Investigating correlations between reduced GPX2 staining and aggressive disease features like metastasis and microsatellite instability.
Comparing biomarker prevalence across cancer entities derived from normal cell types with high GPX2 expression.
Strengths
Large sample size of 18,555 tumors provides broad coverage.
