Claudia Leal-Medina's research data examines the early post-fire response of critically endangered Nothofagus alessandrii forests and Pinus radiata invasion following the 2017 'Las Máquinas' megafire in central Chile. The 4.5 MB PDF likely contains analysis of fire severity via Sentinel-2 dNBR, vegetation recovery via PlanetScope NDVI and MSAVI2 time series from 2018 to 2021, and field measurements of tree density and radial growth. Results show higher resprouting rates in severely burned sites and a direct relationship between fire severity and P. radiata invasion levels.
