Life Story Work Narratives on Identity in Intellectual Disability

A qualitative narrative study explores identity construction for eight individuals with intellectual disability using Life Story Work. Data were generated through in-depth interviews, participant observation, photographs, and personal documents. The analysis identified patterns in how participants define themselves through roles, relationships, interests, values, and personal characteristics.
