Description
Two evolved Pseudomonas sp. M1 isolates, M2C19 and M3C22, were characterized after 600 generations of adaptive laboratory evolution under β-myrcene selection. Filipa Soares published this dataset on figshare in April 2026, containing comparative genomics, quantitative proteomics, and metabolite profiling data. The data reveals convergent FleQ mutations, altered catabolic efficiency, and distinct proteometabolic strategies for improved monoterpene processing.
Use Cases
Analyze convergent genetic mutations based on comparative genomics data mentioned in the description
Model metabolic pathway flux based on metabolite profiling showing 10.6-fold myrcenoic acid accumulation
Study temporal protein expression dynamics based on proteome profiling of genomic island induction
Investigate trade-offs between motility and catabolism based on proteomic data showing reduced chemotaxis systems
Identify genetic targets for strain improvement based on the adaptive laboratory evolution results
Strengths
Includes multi-omics data types: comparative genomics, quantitative proteomics, and metabolite profiling
Documents a 33% higher final OD600 in evolved strains compared to wild-type
Shows specific metabolite changes, including a 10.6-fold increase in myrcenoic acid accumulation
Based on 600 generations of adaptive laboratory evolution, providing a robust evolutionary context
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
Data is contained in a single 3.1 MB XLSX file, which may limit the depth of individual omics datasets
