Description
Bin Deng's dataset investigates the spatiotemporal distribution and plant growth-promoting potential of endophytic microorganisms in Peucedanum praeruptorum Dunn. It contains data from 2,592 fungal and 6,705 bacterial amplicon sequence variants, with 173 fungal and 39 bacterial strains isolated from root, stem, and leaf samples collected from September to December 2024. The dataset was last updated on April 27, 2026.
Use Cases
Analyzing spatiotemporal heterogeneity in endophytic communities based on organ and month of collection.
Screening for plant growth-promoting traits like phosphate and potassium solubilization among isolated strains.
Validating growth-promoting effects on model and host plants based on co-cultivation experiments with Arabidopsis thaliana and P. praeruptorum.
Studying the dominance of specific microbial phyla (e.g., Proteobacteria, Ascomycota) within a medicinal plant host.
Strengths
Includes a substantial volume of sequence data with 2,592 fungal and 6,705 bacterial amplicon sequence variants.
Provides culture-dependent validation with 173 fungal and 39 bacterial strains successfully isolated.
Covers multiple plant organs (root, stem, leaf) and a temporal range from September to December 2024.
Released under a permissive CC-BY-4.0 license for reuse.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Data may reflect temporal and host-plant bias inherent to the single-species, four-month study design.
