Description
Xuran Zhang quantified ecosystem service value (ESV) in Hebei Province, China, from 2014 to 2023 using 30-meter resolution land-cover data and a modified equivalent factor method. The dataset includes total ESV, its temporal evolution, spatial differentiation, change rates, sensitivity, and global spatial autocorrelation analysis. The data was last updated on March 18, 2026, and is shared under a CC-BY-4.0 license.
Use Cases
Analyzing temporal trends in ecosystem service value based on the 2014-2023 time series.
Mapping spatial clusters of high and low ESV based on the Global Moran’s I and LISA analyses.
Evaluating the contribution of different land covers like woodland, grassland, and water bodies to total ESV.
Assessing the robustness of ESV estimates based on the sensitivity analysis results.
Modeling spatial spillover effects of ecological restoration based on the emergence of growth poles in transitional zones.
Strengths
Data covers a 10-year period from 2014 to 2023, allowing for trend analysis.
Analysis is based on 30-meter resolution land-cover data, suggesting a fine spatial scale.
Includes multiple analytical dimensions: temporal evolution, spatial autocorrelation, and sensitivity analysis.
Results are linked to specific policy interventions and ecological outcomes described in the study.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
The dataset is small (278.1 KB), indicating limited scope or highly aggregated data.
