Description
45 differentially expressed proteins were identified from plasma exosomes of patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), PTC with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (PTC-W), Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT), and healthy controls. The dataset, authored by Yawei Zhang and last updated in 2026, results from an integrative study combining exosome isolation, label-free quantitative proteomics, and bioinformatics. It highlights SVEP1 and IGKV3-7 as promising biomarkers for PTC progression in HT patients.
Use Cases
Identify candidate protein biomarkers for papillary thyroid carcinoma based on differential expression analysis.
Investigate molecular pathways linking Hashimoto’s thyroiditis to cancer progression based on extracellular matrix and immune response annotations.
Validate proteomic discoveries using parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) targets like SVEP1 and IGKV3-7.
Explore exosomal protein profiles for non-invasive diagnostic tool development.
Strengths
45 differentially expressed proteins provide a focused target list for validation.
Integrative methodology combines discovery proteomics with targeted validation via PRM.

Limitations
The dataset is small, with plasma samples from only 3 patients per group, limiting statistical power.
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
