Description
15 studies for rs4646903 and 14 studies for rs1048943 were included in a meta-analysis evaluating associations between CYP1A1 gene polymorphisms and prostate cancer susceptibility. The dataset, created by Ruobing Teng and last updated in April 2026, contains results from a systematic search of PubMed, EMBASE, CNKI, and Wanfang databases up to December 31, 2024.
Use Cases
Validate genetic association findings based on the reported odds ratios and confidence intervals.
Replicate meta-analysis models (dominant, homozygous, allele, recessive) for the rs4646903 and rs1048943 loci.
Assess study quality using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) methodology referenced in the description.
Compare genetic risk profiles across different populations based on the aggregated case-control studies.
Strengths
Includes results from 15 studies for one polymorphism and 14 for another, providing a quantitative synthesis.
Reports specific odds ratios, confidence intervals, and p-values for multiple genetic models (e.g., OR=1.39 for rs4646903 dominant model).
Study selection and quality assessment followed a documented systematic review methodology.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
Data may reflect publication or source bias inherent to the included databases and studies.
