252,425 participants from the UK Biobank were analyzed in a prospective cohort study investigating the link between night shift work and chronic kidney disease. The research, authored by Qianchun Xu, found permanent night shift workers had a 19% higher CKD risk, with the highest risk observed in those with both high genetic susceptibility and permanent night shift exposure. The dataset, last updated in April 2026, includes results from Cox proportional hazards models and interaction analyses.
