A study of 46 individuals investigates the persistence of SARS-CoV-2 S1 protein in immune cells up to 15 months after acute infection. The dataset, authored by Bruce K. Patterson and shared on figshare, compares T-cell, B-cell, and monocyte subsets in severe COVID-19 patients and those with Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC). It includes flow cytometry and mass spectrometry confirmation of protein presence in non-classical monocytes.
