A novel Chinese medicine formula, JY5, significantly alleviated hepatic hydroxyproline content and collagen deposition in carbon tetrachloride- and bile duct ligation-induced fibrotic livers in rats and mice. The dataset, shared by Yadong Fu on figshare under CC-BY-4.0, contains results from in vivo and in vitro studies investigating this anti-fibrotic compound. It provides a scientific basis for the JY5 formula's potential as a therapeutic candidate for liver fibrosis.
