Description
A novel Chinese medicine formula JY5, composed of salvianolic acid B, schisantherin A, and amygdalin, alleviated hepatic fibrosis in animal models. Data likely contains results from carbon tetrachloride- and bile duct ligation-induced liver fibrosis models in rats and mice, and an LX-2 cell activation model. The dataset was uploaded by Yadong Fu on figshare in May 2026.
Use Cases
Validate anti-fibrotic effects of compound combinations based on hydroxyproline content and collagen deposition measurements
Analyze hepatic stellate cell activation inhibition based on in vitro and in vivo model results
Study the Notch signaling pathway inactivation mechanism described in the research
Compare therapeutic efficacy across different liver fibrosis induction models (CCl4 and BDL)
Strengths
Dataset is associated with a specific, peer-reviewed research study investigating a novel compound.
The underlying research used multiple validation models (CCl4, BDL, TGF-beta1-induced LX-2 cells).
The main active ingredients of the formula are explicitly identified: salvianolic acid B, schisantherin A, and amygdalin.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment.
The 18.4 MB size suggests a relatively small dataset.
