Thousands of high-resolution still images document lebensspuren—sedimentary structures created by organisms—on the deep-sea plains of Australia's eastern and western margins. The data, compiled by the Australian Ocean Data Network, was used to correlate abiotic factors with biological features and evaluate imagery as a technique for quantifying deep-sea biodiversity. The dataset includes a Lebensspuren Directory and associated analysis documents.
