Seventy Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates from rectal swabs were collected at an intensive care unit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from March 2013 to March 2014. The dataset, described in a paper by Claudia Flores, includes antimicrobial susceptibility results and the presence of nine specific resistance genes. It reveals high resistance rates to several antibiotics and a high degree of genetic diversity among the isolates.
