Description
Geoscience Australia developed a preliminary national-scale 3D geological model integrating data from 53 sources and 171,000 drillholes. The model depicts the distribution, depth, thickness, and characteristics of aquifers and aquitards across eight geological time slices. It supports a collective understanding of basin architecture and groundwater connectivity for water sustainability decision-making.
