The dataset is part of a series of potential assessments for salt extraction, gas storage, waste disposal, and compressed air storage in caverns. It is provided by the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations under a CC-PDM-1.0 license.
Use Cases
Identify potential sites for salt extraction based on the location of diapiers.
Evaluate geological suitability for gas storage caverns based on salt dome features.
Assess locations for underground waste disposal facilities based on the described potential cards.
Plan for compressed air energy storage (CAES) projects based on subsurface salt formations.
