Central California's Devil's Slide Rock seabird colony is documented in this digital collection of aerial photographs from 1997. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service created the images to establish a baseline for the Common Murre Restoration Project, which aims to reestablish a colony of nearly 3,000 birds lost in the early 1980s. The dataset consists of scanned 35mm color slides from aerial surveys, archived by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The supporting project webpage was last updated in September 2008, indicating some contextual information may be dated. Primary data is from a single year (1997).
