Nebraska and South Dakota's 39-mile reach of the Missouri National Recreational River is mapped in this digital geologic-GIS dataset from the National Park Service. The data includes GIS layers and tables in multiple formats, such as a file geodatabase, OGC geopackage, and KMZ for Google Earth, and is supported by ancillary documents with geologic unit descriptions. It was produced by the NPS Geologic Resources Inventory program, adapted from a 2019 University of Nebraska-Lincoln source map.
The GIS data in ESRI shapefile format is available only upon request. Users are encouraged to use the GIS data, not the Google Earth version, for analysis.
