CARINA project data from the 2002 KNORR cruise includes dissolved inorganic carbon, alkalinity, and chlorofluorocarbon measurements across four northern seas. These discrete sample and profile observations were collected using CTD and bottle instruments by researchers from Alfred Wegener Institute and Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. The dataset is part of an international synthesis effort to create an internally consistent ocean carbon dataset for biogeochemical investigations.
