Pacific Ocean discrete profile measurements collected by the R/V Ryofu Maru III from January to March 2014. The dataset includes dissolved inorganic carbon, total alkalinity, pH, temperature, salinity, oxygen, and nutrients. It was contributed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Use Cases
- Model ocean carbon uptake based on dissolved inorganic carbon and alkalinity measurements
- Assess water quality and nutrient distribution across Pacific Ocean sections
- Study the relationship between temperature, salinity, and pH in marine environments
- Analyze oxygen levels and their correlation with other chemical parameters
Strengths
- Data covers a specific cruise and defined GO-SHIP sections P09 and P10
- Includes multiple co-measured chemical and physical parameters for profile analysis
Limitations
- Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
- Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
